How SiteHale for WordPress Works
We built SiteHale for ourselves first, and how it works starts with a simple problem we knew well. After 25 years running a business online, we got tired of paying for SEO that didn’t deliver, so we built a system that actually works — and now it’s available to you.
The Backstory
MacSolutions Plus — the IT company behind SiteHale — opened in 2001. For over two decades we’ve run our own WordPress sites — so we know first-hand how hard it is to get found on Google. Apple Authorized since day one. Family-owned. Three generations of customers know us by name.
A couple of years ago, we looked at our own website and realized something embarrassing: we were invisible on Google. People were searching for exactly what we do — and landing on our competitors instead.
So we did what most business owners do. We looked into hiring an SEO agency.
The quotes came back: $800/month. $1,200/month. One wanted $1,500. For a small business, that’s real money. And when we asked what we’d actually get? Dashboards. Reports. “Monthly optimizations” they couldn’t explain. It felt like paying someone to tell us what was wrong without actually fixing anything.
Then we tried the DIY route — Semrush, Yoast, Google Search Console. Great tools. We signed up, ran the audit, and stared at a screen full of 200+ issues. Fix what first? How? When? We don’t have 30 hours a month to become SEO experts. We’re running a business.
So we took a different approach. We’re technicians. We build solutions. We started writing code that does the work automatically — pulling live keyword data from Google, finding and fixing broken links, rewriting search descriptions so people actually click, connecting orphaned pages, scheduling fresh content. All of it running on a schedule, every month, without anyone clicking a button.
It worked. Our rankings climbed. Pages that were stuck on page 3 moved to page 1. For nearly three years our site had never passed 600 Google clicks in 28 days. Once the automation was running, the “Congratulations” notifications from Search Console arrived in a stack: 600 clicks on February 4, 2026. 1,000 by February 19. 1,500 by March 12. 2,000 by June 17. We’re holding at 1,786 clicks per 28 days today. Our phone rang more. Customers started telling us they found us on Google — something that hadn’t happened in years.
That’s when our IT clients started asking the obvious question: “Can you do that for our site too?”
We called it SiteHale for WordPress. Same system we use on our own site. Now it runs on yours.
Our Site. Our Numbers. Real Results.
We ran SiteHale for WordPress on our own site for months before offering it to anyone else. Here’s what happened.
257% more Google traffic. Google’s own milestone alerts marked the climb: 600 clicks in February 2026, 2,000 by June. Same system. Same site. Same team that now runs it for clients.
What Makes This Different
SiteHale isn’t another dashboard that hands you homework. The plugin brings the results to you — the work itself runs in the background while you focus on your business.
How It Works: 4 Steps
From installing a free plugin to monthly results. Here’s exactly what happens.
Install the Free SiteHale Plugin
Start where every WordPress journey starts: a plugin. Install the free SiteHale plugin and click Site Checkup. In seconds you get an honest, read-only health report — dead scheduled tasks, hidden PHP errors, database bloat, overdue updates, admin-account audit, and a live email test. No account, no email address, and nothing is sent anywhere. The checkup is yours, free, forever — whether you ever pay us or not.
Prefer to talk to a human first? Book a free call and we’ll walk through your Google data together — the half the checkup can’t see.
Click Connect — One Click, No Passwords Shared
Ready for the full service? Click Connect on the plugin’s page. WordPress’s own consent screen — the same one core uses for every trusted integration — asks you to approve SiteHale under your own account. We never ask for your password, never create users on your site, and you can revoke access any time with one click from Users → Profile.
Then we run a comprehensive assessment: theme, plugins, content structure, existing SEO health. This tells us exactly which optimizations will work on your site — because not every WordPress setup is the same. We install and configure your SEO plugin, connect Google Search Console, and if you’re on Yoast or RankMath we import your settings so nothing is lost.
SiteHale Starts Running
Once everything’s configured, SiteHale runs automatically. Every month — on a schedule — it pulls your Google data, scans for problems, fixes what it finds, and documents everything it did. You don’t have to log, click anything, or remember to check on it.
Different tasks run at different times: some weekly, some monthly, some quarterly. All coordinated so your site gets steady, consistent optimization without spikes that look suspicious to Google.
Monthly Reports, Real Results
Every month, you get a plain-English care report — by email and rendered right inside your WordPress dashboard by the SiteHale plugin (a dashboard widget with the latest summary, plus a Care Reports page keeping your last 12 on file). Not a 40-page PDF full of charts you don’t understand. A clear summary: what keywords moved, what was fixed, what was published, what SiteHale watched for you, and what’s planned for next month.
What Runs Under the Hood
You don’t need to know any of this for SiteHale to work. But if you’re curious — or if you’ve been burned by vague “we made optimizations” reports before — here’s exactly what runs every month.

- SSL & domain alerts — warns before a certificate or domain registration expires

- Verified & rotated — each backup is integrity-checked, older ones cleaned up
- Restore drills (Managed) — we actually restore a backup into staging and smoke-test it, to prove it works
- Credential backups — your logins and keys stay safely recoverable too
Weekly — Safe Updates
- Update monitoring — tracks every core, plugin, and theme update available
- Staging-first testing — risky updates are applied to a private copy first
- Smoke-tested — your key pages are re-checked on that copy, against a marker that proves the page still works, before anything goes live
- Promoted only when green — updates reach your live site only after they pass
Who SiteHale for WordPress Is For
SiteHale is built exclusively for WordPress websites — which means it integrates deeper than any generic SEO tool or agency playbook.
Great Fit
- Small businesses in with an existing WordPress website
- Business owners who know SEO matters but don’t have time to do it themselves
- Companies that have tried SEO agencies and felt they weren’t getting their money’s worth
- Current MacSolutions Plus IT clients looking to add website management
- Anyone who’s signed up for Semrush or Yoast and never looked at it again
Not the Best Fit
- Businesses without a WordPress website (we can help with that separately)
- Companies that need a full website redesign (SiteHale optimizes, not rebuilds)
- E-commerce stores with 10,000+ products (different SEO needs)

Why Trust a Repair Shop With Your SEO?
Fair question. Here’s our answer.
Let’s See Where Your Website Stands

Two plans, both flat: Care $49/mo — everything on this page, running every week. Managed $149/mo — all of Care, plus we apply the updates, tune speed and the database, and prove your backups restore. No setup fee, ever. No contracts.
